Heracles was the son of Zeus and a mortal woman named Aclmene.
Zeus's immortal wife, Hera, was jealous and sent two poisonous snakes to kill Heracles. Surprisingly, Heracles killed both snakes even though he was mortal.
Years went by and Heracles grew big and bulky. He was skilled with his bow and arrow a he was strong wrestler. But his biggest challenge was the 12 labors, chosen by his cousin, King Eurystheus of Mycenae.
For his first labor, Heracles had to kill the Nemean
